All wrapped up

Am I the only one that sighs a monumental sigh of relief and joy and excitement, when all the presents are wrapped and sitting pleasantly under the tree?

All, that is, except for the 3 presents I ordered online last night. Oh...and the two presents I am still hoping to find at the mall this weekend. And the stocking stuffer's, of course. Ha ha.

Despite all my planning ahead, I almost always keep shopping till the last minute. And I love doing it that way too. Oh, I get my packages mailed early or on time, but when it comes to local gift purchasing, I love to hunt around, peruse the stores and shelves, scrutinize pin stripes and polka dots...

Some may call me crazy, but there is something about the thrill of the hunt that makes shopping for that perfect gift SO. MUCH. FUN.

What about you and your gift giving habits? Do you like to hunt? Or do you just want to get it over with?

We signed up for free amazon prime this year. That means free two day shipping! I have LOVE LOVE LOVED it. I really can't handle shopping with four kids. It doesn't exactly put me in the Christmas spirit, if you know what I mean. Ethan and I were just talking last night how nice it is to not be stressing about shopping this year.
Now if those presents would just wrap themselves...

Good job! :)

I ordered probably 90% of our gifts online, either because I got free shipping or it was only available online, or MUCH cheaper online! I have one little gift card left to get and have probably half of them wrapped. I like to have my shopping mostly done by the beginning of December.

I got a 30% off Kohls coupon so I did almost all of my shopping right after Thanksgiving. I try to have most of my shopping done before December so I don't have to deal with crowds and I also need time to make the homemade gifts that I try to do each year. I'm currently working on my last projects this week. Getting kind of crazy between the house stuff, trying to pack our stuff here so we'll be ready to move when we get back :) I can't wait to go be with our families for Christmas!

i am an amazon fan as well. i don't like shopping and don't like dealing with crowds.....i also don't seem to find time without the kids to get out to find things for christmas and stockings. though with a family this size we must get the shopping done early. we were done with kids by Nov 30. but i know the buzz of finding the sweet thing last moment, and my sisters will go with me to do black friday. but i am only willing to do that with them :-)

Love the feedback. I think I may be idealizing shopping a little, when in reality it's not always the pleasant, thrill of the chase, experience. Haha :) So often I end up stressed and coming home early to spank three little boys. I've been black friday shopping a few times, and LOVED it. I did it with my sisters too, but can't imagine doing it on my own. Way too crazy.
