So sorry for my absence of blogging genius this week.
Has another week gone by already? Is it really Friday? This week has been packed, start to finish. Jam packed day followed by maj dekcap yad.
Wait. Reverse that. I did have coffee this morning, yet I'm still not thinking straight.
As I was saying, it's been a busy busy week. I enjoy being busy and having my days full, but I think we've eaten too many bags of Cheerios in the car (i.e. been out the door and on the road before breakfast) and had too few family dinners together this week.
Doctor appointments. Immunizations. Ladies' Bible Study (times 2). FRG meetings. Taxes. Grocery trips. Baking treats. Schooling kids. Phone calls. Play dates. Emails. Story time. Orthodontist consultations.
*Yes, I did say orthodontist consult. Sigh. Let me just say that I hope you all had braces when you were children because getting braces as an adult is going to be twice as traumatizing, I'm sure. Can't wait to be the only Commander's wife with 3 children, who actually looks like the Commander's children's babysitter. And to add insult to injury, of course, braces for adults cost TWICE AS MUCH as they do for the young. Good Bye, Summer Vacation. You're being swapped out for a mouth full of metal...I think.*
That just about sums up the week. I'd bore you to mention that each trip out the door involves endless finding, zipping, wiping, and feeding all before we actually get in the car. I know it will not always be this much work, but I'll tell you, I had no idea that three little ones would be so busy. I even remember as a full time career woman single gal, saying "I wonder what that mother of three does all day?"
Cringe.
Despite the work, busyness, and fatigue, I keep having dreams about pregnancy tests and twins.
Not that that is any prediction for the future. Or that we're even trying. I'm just star crazy after a roller coaster week.
So sorry.

Sounds like my life:-)
Ethan feels its simply not right for me to be the wife of an orthodontist and not have straight teeth. I refused point blank to get braces while I was pregnant, so I am out of excuses now. Are you going to get the clear brackets or invisalign? We can commiserate together mkay?
Oh,and, Ethan totally got a big head when he read your comment yesterday. haha
It must be in the air because I can barely remember Monday. I am looking forward to a somewhat calm Saturday with only one activity that is without boys in tow. I think I need the mental break before I have a mental break.
Well, I've not blogged much this week either. However, I'm single and have no children, so I really have no valid reason...the week just got away from me! Have a great week!
Oh, yes, I so relate to that kind of week :-) I had to laugh when I read about your thoughts when you were single. Before marriage and children, I, too, use to think things like that, and have these crazy ideas like 'oh, when I'm a stay at home mom, I'm gonna have so much free time...' I know, go ahead, laugh, because I am, too :-)
Kathryn, I've seen more and more adults with braces lately. In fact the Senior VP of Marketing at my company wore braces until just a month ago. It'll go by fast and you will love the results!
:) Braces are not just for kids :P
You take care and I hope things settle down a bit enough for you to catch your breath :)
my mother had braces @ 50. she talked about the pain and the sensation of being a teenager again. she went for the cheaper silver version, so it stood out. but she loves her smile now ;-) i actually know 5 adults with braces currently, i wish i could put them in your circles ;-)
i hope your weekend relaxes!! those weeks are rough!!
Hey I found you thru blog surfing! Great blog. I wore braces for 5 years {all thru high school} and this post made me laugh in a couple places. I remember...they hurt, left scars inside my lips and cheeks, and they accidently took my bottom ones off at an appointment my mom didn't accompany me and she was furious I let them make the mistake b/c I wasn't supposed to have them off for another 5 months.lol
